How often should you change your vehicle’s oil?

Depending on your driving habits this answer will be different for each driver’s vehicle.
We do “Personalized Automotive Repair” because each vehicle is driven differently.
Some of the different situations are driving frequency, if your drive your vehicle “rough”, how old your vehicle is and the quality of the oil you use.
Driving rough could be high accelerations and/or lots of stop and go driving.
Some may need to change their oil every 3,000 miles while others may need to change it every 5,000 miles -7,500 miles.
Even if you do not drive your car for 6 months, that oil is not good enough as it has been sitting too long.
If you wait too long to get your oil changed, you risk running into serious mechanical problems with your car's engine. Since oil is a lubricant, protection against friction and heat during the combustion process is reduced once it begins to break down
Vehicles that sit unused for long periods are especially vulnerable to engine moisture because they aren't producing the heat from normal operation responsible for evaporating moisture and condensation.
